INGLEWOOD, CA — Despite being one of the exceptional cornerbacks on the field, Rams star Jalen Ramsey has been exceptional off the field as well. Earlier this year Ramsey partnered with Purpose Prep Academy in Memphis, Tennessee, to ensure kids from Kindergarten to fourth grade would have a quality education and an opportunity to compete in a safe environment. He’s donated $1 million to the school thus far.
This holiday season has been tough for many Americans across the board especially those in various Black and Latino communities, between dealing with the effects of COVID19, unemployment, racial discrimination, and several families have truly felt the pressure of 2020.
Ramsey not only put his money where his mouth is, but most importantly put his heart to action.
“It’s always a blessing to be a blessing, and I’m in the position I can do things like that,” Ramsey said via zoom conference on Thursday at SoFi Stadium. “So if I can help anybody have a better holiday and a Merry Christmas, it’s something that has been in my heart.”
Ramsey partnered up with the Level Up Store owned by local music artist 2Eleven, who handed out 100 gift cards valued at $100 each. 2Eleven thanks Ramsey for his support and generosity. Many residents were appreciative of the gift that could truly ease their woes this holiday season.
The 2020 Pro Bowler also donated to the annual ABC7 Spark of Love Toy Drive that helps thousands of families enjoy the holidays. He always had a spirit to give back and has always done with class, dignity and truly from the heart.
2Eleven also made sure the families in his community received toys and other gifts at his store to ensure they have a very Merry Christmas.
Ramsey and the Rams head up to Seattle to take on the Seahawks, Sunday at 1:25PM PT on FOX.
