PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Los Angeles Rams destroyed the Philadelpia Eagles on a sunny Sunday afternoon 37-19 to go 2-0 on the season. Tight end Tyler Higbee had a record setting day that aided the Rams to victory. Higbee has flourish in head coach Sean McVay’s offense as he found the endzone multiple times from quarterback Jared Goff.

This was the first game of his career with multiple touchdowns, as Higbee was Goff’s favorite target throughout the game. Higbee became the first Rams player since Torry Holt in 2006 to have three touchdown catches in a single game.

Not thinking too much of it, just trying to do my job. Ball found me today and I tried to capitalize on those opportunities. Shoutout Torry Holt, though,” Higbee said.

He added a 28-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter to seal the game for the Rams. Higbee was targeted five times on the afternoon. He finished with five receptions for 54 yards. Higbee is the first Rams tight end to catch three touchdown catches in a game since 1988 by Damone Johnson.

Obviously big day for Higbee, having three touchdowns on five targets, but that’s kind of what you expect,” McVay said postgame. “He’s done a great job.”

Goff completed his first 13 passes and finished with 267 yards and three touchdowns in the win against the Eagles.

The Rams will face the Bills in Buffalo next Sunday at 10:05 AM PT.
