THOUSAND OAKS, CA — Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods arrived to OTA’s with a fresh mindset, new jersey number, new quarterback and receiving core.

With change comes a development of trust between both parties in Woods and quarterback Matthew Stafford, yet consistency and communication is key for this group’s success on the field.

The chemistry of Woods and Cooper Kupp that has developed over several seasons, however now the core has added veteran Desean Jackson, rookie Tutu Atwell and the interest continues to mount for second year receiver Van Jefferson. Woods sees the ultimate goal with the new additions on the offense, which is winning a Super Bowl title.

Whatever weapons (the team adds) – running backs, receivers, quarterbacks – we’ve got a team goal, we’re trying to win a Super Bowl,” Woods said. “We’ve got a loaded team. We’re bringing in receivers who bring explosiveness to our offense.”

As the Rams cut ties with Josh Reynolds, Jackson and Atwell could be over the top and play outside, yet fearless when it comes to crossing the middle against defenders this season. Woods was excited when he spoke about Atwell and looked forward to seeing the talent on Sundays and in practice.

Seeing his quickness at line and he’s a great addition to our offense. He plays with a ton of heart and speed,” Woods explained about Atwell. “He plays with swagger and has that attitude.

Woods also discussed his number change to number 2 going back to the days of Serra High School in Gardena, and a number he wore while playing at USC.

Coming into play and a huge opportunity to switch over to a number that started since the beginning of football for me and Carson Colt days,” he said. “It was a number I wore on every level and having a chance to wear that at the NFL level is super special here in L.A. and here in the hometown, I think it bring just memories back for a lot of people and myself playing football.
