LOS ANGELES — Actress and comedian Sherry Cola shared her enthusiasm and unique experiences from the set of the upcoming film Bride Hard. Known for her previous dynamic performances, Cola plays Nadine in this highly anticipated movie, which promises a blend of action, comedy, and heartwarming camaraderie.

Truly, it’s such a good time. I can’t wait for people to see it,” Cola told Nick Hamilton of Nitecast Media.

Playing Nadine, a character entwined in Sam’s secret agent storyline portrayed by Rebel Wilson, Cola expresses her love for the unexpected facets of her role.
When people see me in this film, it’s like, oh, Sherry Cola, hell yes. Like this makes so much sense,” she said. Nadine embodies the tough love mentor, balancing encouragement with the mission’s demands, a relatable theme of work-life balance.

Reflecting on the film’s essence, Cola highlighted, “It’s a great balance of comedy, but also a little bit of drama.” She praised the film’s portrayal of friendship and female empowerment, noting the connections formed during filming between her, Oscar Award winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Wilson.
We were having oysters in the city of Savannah, Georgia. We were just having a good time together, on and off-screen.

I love them so much. Everyone here is a ray of light,” she stated regarding her co-stars in Randolph and Wilson. “The camaraderie on set translated into genuine chemistry on screen, creating a narrative that showcases powerful bonds between women.”

Bride Hard also embraces the theme of diversity, showcasing a range of backgrounds and experiences. For Cola, representation is vital. “If you don’t see it, you don’t think it’s possible, right?” she emphasized. Her presence in the film is a statement: “Me showing up is like, oh yeah, like, of course, Sherry Cola could be a secret agent.

Cola’s passion and commitment to breaking stereotypes are evident.

It’s almost like we just want to normalize existing. It doesn’t need to be that deep because just by showing it casually, you’re opening minds,” she stated. Through Bride Hard, Cola and her co-stars aim to inspire and entertain, proving that diverse, multidimensional characters are significant in cinema today.

She promises audiences an unforgettable experience. “June 20th, everybody will be pleasantly pleased, I believe, with ‘Bride Hard,‘” she assured. With a warm and cheerful outlook, she said, “You will be inspired and aroused. I guarantee it!”
