NEW YORK, NY — A lawyer, historian, culture mover, podcaster, media mogul, the world truly lost a great person in Reggie Osse aka Combat Jack on Thursday morning. The host of “The Combat Jack Show” and CEO of the Loud Speakers Network lost a battle with colon cancer. Osse made the announcement of him being diagnosed with cancer last October.

The Cornell graduate lawyer represented many artist and labels, such as Jay-Z, Roc-A-Fella, Def Jam to name a few. He’d later transition after being one of the managing editor’s for The Source Magazine to hosting his own dynamic podcast, while representing hip hop well.

Osse’s podcast and style of interview was unique and amazing in the way he was able to tap into the guest and bring the best out of them. He interview a variety of guest from The Lox, Ice Cube, Jordan Peele, ESPN’s Bomani Jones, Jemele Hill and Michael Smith, Cardi B, The Game, Joe Budden, Jeezy, Redman, Wyclef Jean, Steve Lobel, Organized Noize, Mike Will Made It, and many more.

Osse was a plethora of hip hop information and never afraid to reach out to his many fans or help those in need when it came to the business of hip hop. He was hip hop’s most influential voice in moving the culture forward. His legacy will continue to live on through us all, yet they’ll never be another historian quite like Combat Jack.

He is survived by his four children, he was 48 years old.
