LOS ANGELES, CA — The BET Awards celebrated 50 years of Hip Hop, while fans across the globe witnessed the reuniting of a dynamic group for the greater good. Platinum selling artist The Migos returned not only to celebrate hip hop but also honor their fellow band mate the late Takeoff during the performance. Both Quavo and Offset had reported been at odds, yet the two buried their differences and gave the fans an unforgettable performance.
After the performance, Offset spoke about the two reuniting via his Instagram.
“I love all my fans. I love y’all. We did a BET performance, man. It was iconic, man,” Offset said. “It cleared my soul. Me and my brother, Quay, man, we put that together within, like, 16 hours, like, 15 hours… We do that ’cause we’re some real stars.”
The Migos are one of the most unique groups in the culture from their rap style, appearance and stage presence, they have absolutely carved a memorable lane in the genre. The two while honoring the spirit of Takeoff, performed some of their big hits such as “Bad & Boujee,” and other songs.
“We the greatest group to ever touch the mic,” Offset added. “RIP my brother, Take. We did it for my brother, Take. Me and Quay stood tall, brother to brother.”
Quavo wrote via his Instagram post, “Do This For The Fam Cuz This Shhh Bigger Than Me!” Showcasing to the fanbase that whatever differences he and Offset had aren’t bigger than the family unit.
Could we see more appearance from the two members, only time will tell. However for now, The Migos gave a surprise performance that many will be talking about for quite sometime.
“How we pulled it together, rocket power,” Quavo told Entertainment Tonight post performance at BET Awards.
