On this week’s episode of The Outlet Forum, Chaez Pearson and Chris Camello continued discussing the NBA playoffs, Patrick Beverley’s comments on Chris Paul on ESPN, and the state of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Miami Heat took Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics were down two key players in Marcus Smart and Al Horford. The Heat went on a 39-14 run in the 3rd quarter and took over the game.
“…that was JIMMY BUCKETS right there!,” said Camello about Jimmy Butler who had a huge game with 41 points and continues to have a terrific individual playoff run.

Camello and Pearson also talked about the Phoenix Suns having the most flabbergasting collapse ever. The Dallas Mavericks beat them by 33 on the road in Game 7 to win the series in stunning fashion led by the great Luka Doncic. Also, they discussed Patrick Beverley’s comments about Chris Paul and whether they went over the line.
The guys then previewed the Western Conference Finals featuring the Mavericks and Golden State Warriors and who has the edge in that series.
Of course, there was some Lakers talk which included updates around the head coach search as well as Russell Westbrook’s future with the team.
