On this week’s episode of The Outlet Forum, Chaez Pearson and Chris Camello discussed the NBA off-season, Malik Monk’s future as a Laker, Kyrie Irving’s decision, and more. They are also joined by a special guest.

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving made his decision and decided to opt in to remain a Net. After plenty of sign and trade talks, potentially to the Lakers, the decision was finally made. Although the Lakers can still trade for him, who knows what could happen in the future.

Russell Westbrook decided to opt into the final year of his contract. Pearson thinks he’s capable of making the changes so that it works this time around. Camello is skeptical of Westbrook making those necessary sacrifices to his game to help the team.

Free agent guard Malik Monk will have to make a decision, does he want to leave for more money or will he stay with the Lakers and take a pay cut?

Special guest Spencer Garrett, who portrayed legendary Lakers announcer Chick Hearn in the critically acclaimed HBO series “Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty,” joined the guys to talk about the series, how he prepared to portray Hearn, the cast, and criticism of the show from Laker legends.

Pearson and Camello also talked about the upcoming NBA free agency and what potential buyouts, trades, and signings could happen.

One major bit of buyout news is that John Wall and the Houston Rockets are finally breaking up, and Wall is likely to join the Los Angeles Clippers.

There is also talk that Dallas Mavericks breakout star Jalen Brunson is possibly going to the New York Knicks. The Knicks have been doing everything possible to free up money so they can give him a huge contract. More players have been embroiled in constant trade rumors, so it could be a really fun free agency coming up.
