On this week’s episode of The Outlet Forum, Chaez Pearson and Chris Camello discussed topics ranging from the Boston Celtics emerging as a trade destination for Kevin Durant, and what trade should the Los Angeles Lakers do to shed Russell Westbrook’s contract.

If you were the Celtics, would you trade Jaylen Brown, even after he was a major factor for their success in the playoffs last season?

The guys discuss the Celtics suddenly throwing themselves into the Durant gauntlet. Camello thinks the Celtics are the team that can put together the best package to trade for Durant, and they’re in the driver’s seat.

Camello and Pearson are joined by writer/reporter Jovan Buha of The Athletic to talk about all things Lakers, including the never-ending Russell Westbrook saga. Buha thinks the soft deadline for a Westbrook trade is training camp and the longer the team waits the more leverage they have.

The guys also discussed WNBA star Liz Cambage suddenly wanting out of Los Angeles and essentially quitting on the Sparks with a few weeks left in the season. Both parties agreed on a ‘contract divorce.’

Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy has agreed to a contract extension with the team. The legendary Rasheed Wallace, unfortunately, will not be joining the team as an assistant coach.

Will Donovan Mitchell actually get traded (possibly to the New York Knicks?) and is the asking price too much?
