On this week’s episode of The Outlet Forum, Chaez Pearson and Chris Camello discussed a nice range of topics. This week has been a celebration of Kobe Bryant’s legacy as it was not only his birthday but also Mamba Day on 8/24. The guys talked about their favorite Kobe moments.

The biggest news in the NBA right now is the fact that Kevin Durant will indeed stay with the Brooklyn Nets after he and the organization came to an agreement. The rest of the league can now start their trades. The Los Angeles Lakers have to pivot to Plan B since Kyrie Irving will remain with the Nets.

During an interview with Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, Taylor Rooks talked about who qualifies as a superstar in the league, mentioning she thought Damian Lillard wasn’t and Kyrie Irving was. This off-season has seen a lot more NBA players joining in on Pro-Am Leagues. The biggest name has been LeBron James, who not only joined the Drew League but also took part in Jamal Crawford’s Seattle CrawsOver Pro-Am.

Camello and Pearson are joined by special guest Glasses Malone to talk West Coast rap, his career, his favorite Kobe memory, the Durant situation, Dennis Rodman wanting to travel to Russia to get Brittney Griner back home, WNBA Playoffs and more.

Is Rodman going to Russia to help Griner something that can be helpful or is it going to backfire? The WNBA playoffs are in full effect with plenty of hard fought games and it seems like the Chicago Sky and Las Vegas Aces are the strongest teams. James Wade winning WNBA Executive of the Year for the Chicago Sky is the first African American to win this award since it became an award in 2017.
