On this week’s episode of The Outlet Forum, Chaez Pearson and Chris Camello discussed a few topics ranging from Anthony Davis potentially entering the MVP race and the recent Trae Young and Nate McMillan beef. Camello and Pearson started off by talking about the Los Angeles Lakers having an impressive start to their road-trip, even though they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anthony Davis played 8 minutes and scored one free throw point before having to leave the game with flu-like symptoms that started earlier in the day with a 101 degree fever.
The guys also discussed Davis’ MVP level play, and if he’s entering the conversation. The Lakers have been playing pretty well to the point where it should be okay to drop those two picks that GM Rob Pelinka is holding onto. Should the Lakers try to entertain a current rumored trade deal involving DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic? The guys think a trade is very much happening, probably in January but maybe not one involving Russell Westbrook.
Pearson and Camello talked about Kawhi Leonard and Paul George being back. Now that they seem to be healthy, can the Los Angeles Clippers make some noise?
Camello and Pearson discussed the current race for MVP. Devin Booker, Nikola Jokić, Luka Dončić, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ja Morant, AD, and Jayson Tatum are players the guys mentioned as their favorites. The show ended on the brewing drama between Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young and coach Nate McMillan. Young decided to stay home rather than off the bench, because of the team rule of not starting if you can’t do the walk through. He was getting treatment for his injured shoulder and couldn’t go through walk through.
