On this week’s episode of The Outlet Forum, Chaez Pearson and Chris Camello continued discussing the NBA playoffs and a little Lakers talk as well.
The guys started off with the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors semi-finals matchup. The Warriors were able to steal a Game 1 win and Ja Morant missed a layup that would’ve won it for Memphis. Draymond Green was ejected. Was it warranted? Many didn’t think so, including Green himself. Pearson thinks this series will go five games with the Warriors winning.
They also talked about the Philadelphia 76ers and their MVP Joel Embiid being out with an orbital fracture. James Harden was able to keep them alive a bit in Game 1 of their second round series against the Miami Heat, but ended up losing.
Pearson thinks the Heat could very well win the championship, because they are so deep.
There has been a lot of talk recently about who the best player in the league is with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo being the name mentioned most often lately, along with Kevin Durant. Pearson thinks its LeBron James. Camello thinks its Antetokounmpo.
Camello and Pearson also named their top 5 best players in the league.
The guys brought in some Lakers talk. They discussed Russell Westbrook’s future as a Laker, will he be dealt or not this offseason, and Magic Johnson’s Apple TV+ documentary series They Call Me Magic.
