DENVER, CO — Mile High Stadium is never an easy place to play between the weather and the altitude, opposing team can find themselves behind the right ball. Then they’re the Denver Broncos who’s defense is solid, yet had no answer for Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley on Sunday who ran for two touchdowns and a career high 208 rushing yards.

The Rams pulled out another tight 23-20 victory over the Broncos to remain the NFL’s only undefeated team.

It was a team effort,” Gurley said post game. “Everybody did a great job, and it was just kind of easy for me, honestly, because those guys did such a great job.”

The coldest day on record at game time seemed to have only fueled Gurley who got off to a slow start. However in the second quarter, Gurley finally got his team in the end zone on a 1-yard run for the 13-3 lead. Midway in the third quarter, Gurley punched in another 1-yard touchdown that gave the Rams a strong lead.

Gurley became the first Rams player to rush for over 200 yards and two touchdowns since Marshall Faulk in 2001, when Faulk rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns agianst the Carolina Panthers.

Gurley gave a lot of credit to his success on Sunday to his offensive line, and took a great deal of pressure off of quarterback Jared Goff who struggled at points throughout the game. He leads the league with 11 touchdowns this season. The Rams (6-0) will face the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium next Sunday at 1:25PM PT on CBS.
