LOS ANGELES, CA — USC Trojans basketball star Bronny James the son of NBA superstar and Lakers forward LeBron James was rushed to a local hospital according to TMZ sports due cardiac arrest call. Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at The Galen Center at approximately 9:30AM PT on Monday near the campus of USC.
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital,” according to a family statement.
“He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
Bronny James (18) was unconscious and taken immediately to the hospital thanks in part to swift actions of the USC staff on scene. The hospital staff will continue to run test in order to find out what caused him to collapse. Bronny was a McDonald’s All-American during his high school senior season.
