USC’s Miller Moss Is A QB to Watch This Season For the 2024 Maxwell Award

LOS ANGELES — USC Trojans quarterback Miller Moss was named to the 2024 Maxwell Award watch list, an award that is presented to the best quarterback in the country.

Coming off his exquisite MVP Holiday Bowl performance, Moss returns for his redshirt junior season to lead the Trojans.

In his 3-year career at USC, Moss is 66-for-92 (71.7%) for 914 yards with nine touchdowns and has rushed for 27 yards on 10 attempts in 12 games with his one start. He holds the record for most touchdown passes thrown in a Holiday Bowl with six, and most touchdown passes thrown in a USC bowl game. He has thrown the most touchdowns by a USC QB is his first Trojan start ( and tied the Pac-12 Bowl Game passing touchdown record.

Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced November 12, 2024, while the three finalists for the Maxwell Award will be unveiled November 26, 2024. The winners of the 88th Maxwell Award will be announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on December 12, 2024. The formal presentations of the Maxwell Award will be made at the Maxwell Football Club Awards on Friday March 14, 2025 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.
