HOLLYWOOD, CA — The writers strike has caused a lot of concern as it pertains to the future projects from the world of film and television especially with Disney and Marvel, as the writers are the essential essence of the film and television industries. With the Producers Guild also showing support for the writers, the future could be in limbo as it pertains to releases.

As Disney and Marvel rolled out their Phase 5 of film and television series’ such as Ant Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and their latest box office smash Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3, the studio has more exciting adventures pending.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Blade has been set to be postponed again due to the writers strike. The second time the production was delayed since alleged behind-the-scenes trouble with the film back in 2022.

With the writers seeking fair wages, guaranteed work schedules, and a more clarity on how they will handle the development and utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in writers’ rooms. Writers continue to push for further negotiation with all of the studios.

In addition to the writers strike and the times Marvel has made script changes during the production of film in times prior, the timing of the writers strike could delay other films such as Captain America: New World Order, Echo and other projects.

Blade starring Mahershala Ali is currently set to release on September 6, 2024.
