LOS ANGELES, CA — As R&B continues to make a dominant resurgence to the forefront of the mainstream musical zeitgeist, it’s hard to think of the genre without thinking of Kehlani especially over the last year.
With over 15 years in the industry, Kehlani has proven herself to be one of the genre’s most defining voices. Over the course of her career, she’s released two successful mixtapes, five studio albums, and is now preparing to embark on what will undoubtedly be the biggest tour of her career.
On August 6th, the R&B songstress will kick off her Kehlani World Tour in Minneapolis at The Armory. The tour will run through December, with stops scheduled across the U.S., Europe, the U.K., and South Africa.
The Kehlani tour is in support of her newly released self-titled fifth album. The album’s lead single, “Folded,” which was released in 2025, peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and became her first song to crack the top 10.
“Folded” also made Billboard history as the record reached No. 1 on the Mainstream R&B/ Hip-Hop Airplay chart for a record-breaking 17 weeks – making it the longest run to date. The song also earned Kehlani her first two Grammy wins in 2026, for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.
Her run continued at the 2026 BET Awards as she nabbed the awards for Video of the Year and Best Female R&B/ Pop Artist. Kehlani also delivered one of the night’s memorable performances as she sang a stripped-down, ethereal rendition of “Folded.”
While “Folded” proved to be Kehlani’s most successful song to date, her eponymous album served as a true love letter to R&B. Between the subtle nods to legends like Aaliyah in her “Out the Window” music video, and the impressive roster of prolific hip-hop and R&B features, including Missy Ellliot, Usher, Brandy, Lil Wayne, and others. The album served as a sonic and visual ode to the golden age of R&B music.
Tickets for the Kehlani World Tour are currently available for purchase.
