LAS VEGAS, NV — The Las Vegas Aces re-signed guard Jackie Young to a one-year deal worth $1.19 million, according to ESPN’s Alexa Philippou, keeping a key piece of their title defense.

Young, 28, has anchored the Aces since Las Vegas selected her with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft out of Notre Dame. A four‑time All‑Star (2022–2025) and the league’s Most Improved Player in 2022, Young produced 16.5 points and 5.1 assists per game last season while shooting 36 percent from beyond the arc — stats that showcase her as both a primary scorer and on‑ball creator. Adding Young to a core that also include four-time MVP A’ja Wilson and possibly guard Chelsea Gray could complete the puzzle needed to go deep into the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see how the brass led by President Nikki Fargas provides help for the Aces big three and how that stacks up against the rest of the league who have their sights set on dethroning Wilson and company.

Her return preserves continuity for a championship roster that leaned on Young’s two‑way play throughout the 2025 playoff run. The Aces, who will celebrate their 2025 title on Ring Night during the May 9 home opener, keep intact a backcourt weapon capable of spacing the floor, initiating offense, and defending at a high level.

Young’s scoring and play making are key for head coach Becky Hammon as the Aces seek another title. Her return gives Las Vegas stability heading into the offseason, keeping the team well-positioned for a championship defense.
